Internships

Each season Outdoor Explorations offers internships in conjunction with area colleges and universities. Some of these internships are for college credit, some are to fulfill school requirements, and occasionally there are paid internships.

To qualify you must apply and be enrolled in one of our local college or universities and in good academic standing (a 2.5 GPA or higher). You must be willing to have a background check and preference is given to people who have CPR, First Aid and water safety certification as well as to those who are studying fields related to recreation, research and disability. We ask for a minimum of a semester's commitment and no less than 12 hours per week for paid positions.

Please contact our office for more information.

Employment Opportunities

We are fortunate to have full and part time positions at Outdoor Explorations. Our full time positions include medical and dental benefits as well as life insurance. Our part time positions include dental benefits. The nature of our work is high energy and it tends to attract vibrant individuals who are seeking to create positive social change though creative and healthy means.

Working at OE means caring about people who are different than yourself. It means thinking on your feet to create accommodations and inclusive environments while having a great time in the outdoors.

We seek people who prefer the outdoors to a cubicle, the natural environment to air conditioning, and cooperation to competition.
